This site is operated by Spurlock Studios LLC, a Michigan LLC established in 2026. The principal and sole operator is William Spurlock. Brand name: Spurlock Studios.

This policy applies to spurlockstudios.com only. The personal writing site at williamspurlock.com has its own analytics and trackers — those do not run here.

What this page covers

Visitors and leads on this website. If you become a client, separate agreements govern any production systems I build for you — this policy is not that agreement, and I do not treat your CRM data or API credentials as if they were a form submission. Cannabis age-gates and 21+ checks, if used on a client site, are that client's stack. This studio site's contact form does not collect IDs.

What I collect on purpose

• Contact brief (/contact form) — name, email, shop / brand / act (optional), audience chip, chapter, budget, timeline, and the brief itself. Purpose: reply within 24 hours and determine if I can help. This form does not collect government IDs, license scans, or age-gate documents.
• Newsletter (/blog) — email only. Purpose: send journal updates when new posts go live.
• Visibility scan (/visibility) — domain field. Purpose: run an AI visibility check against that domain. Live scoring is still in build as of this writing.

Each form includes a honeypot field to catch bots. I do not use CAPTCHAs or require third-party authentication to submit.

What I do not run here today

No Leadsy. No RB2B. No ad pixels. No Calendly embed. No Turnstile or reCAPTCHA. Measurement is Google Analytics 4 only — see the next section.

Measurement (Google Analytics 4)

This site uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-P8V2C9W7Y2. The official gtag.js snippet loads in the document head on every HTML page. There is no Accept gate.

These events may fire: blog_view, blog_read_progress, blog_complete, toc_click, related_click, share_click, copy_code, affiliate_click, product_click, newsletter_submit, outbound_click, cta_click, and generate_lead.

Cookies and hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set essential cookies for security and delivery. Google Analytics 4 may set analytics cookies because the tag loads on every HTML page.

Where form data goes

Forms submit to first-party endpoints (/api/brief and /api/newsletter). These endpoints persist data into an Airtable base (Spurlock Studios Ops):

• Inbound table — contact briefs
• Newsletter table — journal subscription emails

A mailto fallback is available if the submission fails. I read briefs myself — no CRM theater, no marketing automation vendor.

Retention: I keep a working record to reply and do the work. If you want your data corrected or deleted, email william@spurlockstudios.com and I will handle it directly.

AI crawlers

Public pages on this site are welcome to be crawled by AI search engines and answer engines — that is the point of an AI visibility practice. The robots.txt and llms.txt files explicitly allow major AI crawlers.

That welcome does not extend to training on form submission contents. Briefs and newsletter sign-ups are private communications, not public pages.

Client work data

If we work together: logins, CRM data, API keys, and payloads stay on your accounts. Builds ship to your infrastructure. I do not warehouse client production data on my own systems.

To correct, delete, or unsubscribe: email william@spurlockstudios.com . There is no self-serve portal — I handle these requests directly and typically respond within 24 hours.
