I'm William Spurlock. Spurlock Studios is the commercial practice I run alone — architecture, engineering, design and delivery, all the same pair of hands.

That is unusual on purpose. Most agencies scale by putting distance between the person who sells the work and the person who does it. Every layer of that distance costs you accuracy: the scope drifts, the design gets value-engineered, and the thing you approved is not the thing that ships.

Working with one operator caps how much I can take on at once, and that is the trade. In exchange, the person who tells you what is possible is the person who has to make it true.

I've spent roughly twenty thousand hours inside agentic systems and shipped six hundred automations, five hundred of which are still running in production without me. The receipts are the argument.

What actually shipped.

Not a moodboard. Live client sites, built and shipped by the same hands that answer the call.

Fit check

Be honest before you book.

This is for buyers who want a principal on the build — not a 12-person agency with a deck and a handoff chain.

  • 01 You have a real bottleneck and a decision-maker who can say yes without a committee.
  • 02 You want the person scoping the work to be the person who ships it — not an account manager and a junior.
  • 03 You can hand over real systems, data, and access. Samples and theatre slow both of us down.

Not a fit: you need a 12-person agency, layers of account management, or someone to absorb endless stakeholder theatre. That is not this shop — and forcing it wastes both of our weeks.

Method

How this actually works.

Four steps. Each one leaves you with something concrete you can open, click, or own.

Scope in public

The first call ends with a written scope you can read, argue with, and take elsewhere. No proposal theatre, no artificial urgency, no discovery invoice for the privilege of a quote.

Build in the open

You get access to the repo and a working preview URL from day one. Progress is something you can click, not a percentage in a status email.

Hand over the keys

Every build ships to your infrastructure, in your accounts, with documentation written for the person who inherits it. Nothing is hostage to my continued involvement.

Stay reachable

Thirty days of support is standard and I answer directly. If something I built breaks at an inconvenient hour, that is my problem to fix.

Bring the bottleneck. I'll tell you if it's worth building.

One operator. Clear scope. No handoffs. If that is what you want, book the call or send the brief — I reply within 24 hours.
