Cannabis visibility when the ad accounts are banned
Google and Meta will not take the usual spend. The models still answer dispensary, cultivator, and brand questions — if the site can be read and the cart can clear a 21+ order.

Google will not take your money. Meta will bounce the account. The models still will — if the site can be read and the cart can clear a 21+ order.
I build for cultivation, manufacturing, and dispensaries. Operator to operator. No stoner-bro. No wellness wash.
The short answer
- Paid search and social are not your growth plan. Treat them as closed until a lawyer you pay tells you otherwise.
- The remaining channel is the question people type into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and the AI overview: dispensary in this city, licensed cultivator in this state, brand they can actually buy.
- That only works if the site is a source: hours, menu or catalogue, license facts, 21+ gate, and schema a crawler can parse.
- I do not invent a COA, a medical claim, or a citation percentage. If I cannot stand behind the sentence, it does not go on the page.
The floor door on this site is /cannabis. The lead case already shipped is Divine Toke — Metrc, 21+, adult-signature, cannabis payment rails, no paid acquisition, AEO-first. That is the constraint list. It is not a made-up traffic lift.
Three operators, not one vibe
Do not mash this into a lifestyle brand.
Cultivation. Harvest lots, COAs you actually have, wholesale inquiry, compliance pages a model can cite. The site is a license and a lot story, not a leaf on black.
Manufacturing. SKU and catalogue, batch story, B2B and D2C paths. The cart has to survive a processor who treats you like a risk.
Dispensary. Menu, hours, age gate, pickup and delivery rules, “near me” without paid search. The map pack still matters. The ad account does not.
If you run more than one of these, say so in week one. The first ship is the path that takes money.
Why the models, not the ads
Visibility work on this studio is not “SEO with extra letters.” For a cannabis operator it is the only acquisition channel that is not a policy violation waiting to happen.
When someone asks a machine for a dispensary, a cultivator, or a brand in your state, it should be able to name you. That requires:
- A page that states facts, not slogans.
- Organization / Store / Product / FAQ schema that matches the HTML.
- An llms.txt and a robots policy that does not hide the catalogue from the crawlers you actually want.
- An entity that is the same shop on the site, the license record, and the knowledge panel — not three spellings of the brand.
The $500 Visibility audit is: I ask the machines the questions that make you money. Then I tell you who they named instead.
I will not promise they will name you next month. I can promise we will stop giving them nothing to cite.
Compliance is the job
21+. Licensed operators. No medical claims I cannot stand behind. I do not invent COAs.
Age-gates and identity checks on a client site are the client’s stack. My contact form does not collect IDs. Plant-touching work is in scope. Invented compliance copy is not.
If a page would get a processor, a regulator, or a model to invent a health benefit, we cut it. YMYL-adjacent cannabis copy is a trust problem before it is a ranking problem — I wrote the general bar in E-E-A-T signals for AI citations. This note is the floor-specific version.
Paperwork that is not the plant
Visibility gets you found. The site takes the order. The inbox still fills with invoices, intake, and tickets.
That is automation: the paperwork that is not the plant. Invoice and PO matching, support triage, a FAQ agent that will not invent a strain benefit. If it would touch Metrc, we say so in the fence. If you do not want it to touch Metrc, it does not.
The floor spokes
Visibility gets you named. These are the other jobs:
- 21+ checkout that can clear — the cart, not the brochure.
- A cultivation site is not a wellness brand — lots, real COAs, wholesale inquiry.
- Paperwork that is not the plant — invoice/PO rails with a Metrc fence.
- Budtender FAQ that will not invent a strain benefit — approved copy, then a hard stop.
Where to start
- Default build is the Business Site — this is regulated commerce, not a Creator House.
- Visibility Growth is the remaining acquisition story. Book the floor call.
- If you only want the read: the $500 audit.
Do you work with plant-touching businesses?
Yes. Cultivation, manufacturing, dispensaries. Licensed operators. I do not wash it into wellness.
Will this get me banned from ads?
You are not buying ads. That is the point. I will not sell you a Meta workaround and call it a channel.
Do you store customer IDs?
Not on this studio’s contact form. Age-gates on your store, if we build them, live on your stack. I do not keep a copy of a shopper’s license.
Can you take the site live in a limited state?
If you are licensed there and the payments and delivery rules are real, yes. I do not invent a ship-to list you cannot fulfill.

AI Visibility
AI Visibility When ChatGPT names the franchise, not your shop
Run the best-HVAC-near-me prompt panel. If the model names a national franchise, fix corroboration and entity facts — not another blog calendar.
AI Visibility How do I get cited by Perplexity specifically
Allow PerplexityBot, put a liftable answer and unique numbers in HTML, then log numbered sources on a frozen prompt panel. There is no bought citation rate.
AI Visibility What belongs in an AI visibility monthly retainer vs a one-time audit
A one-time audit is the baseline plus prioritized fixes. A monthly retainer is prompt-panel tracking, entity hygiene, page jobs, and citation recovery.
AI Visibility Does Wikipedia or Wikidata help AI recommend my brand
Wikipedia is not a paid AI lever. Notability plus independent sources decide the page; a real Wikidata item helps entity consistency, not a promotional stub.
